Direct answer

Return when the current haul improves the next loop

Push deeper only while your survival margin, carrying space and return plan remain clear. Retreat when the loot already in hand matters more than the unverified value of the next floor.

Decision point

Push or return

Push deeper

You have recovery capacity, useful carry space and a specific reason to accept more risk.

Return now

Your carried loot unlocks a shop goal, your safety margin is shrinking or your inventory is forcing poor choices.

Before the next floor

Ask four practical questions

  1. 01

What do I lose on death?

Count the useful loot that is not yet in safe storage.

  2. 02

    What does deeper progress add?

The official description supports rarer loot deeper in the dungeon, not a guaranteed item.

  3. 03

Can I still carry the result?

Discarding items is possible, but returning with a coherent haul is usually more useful than random volume.

  4. 04

    What ends this run?

Choose a health, resource or inventory condition that means retreat before entering the next risk.
